Hello Curling Members, after further conversations with Curling Alberta regarding the sweeping guidelines please see below for a message from Shannon Kleibrink – Director of Community Curling Centre Development

The following guidelines for sweeping are recommended by Curling Canada and Curling Alberta for non-cohort play.

• Only one designated sweeper on the delivering team can sweep their delivered stone and any of their own stone(s) set in motion. There will be no relaying of sweepers (second sweeper taking over halfway down the sheet). The person in charge of the house (skip or third) is not allowed to sweep at any time under any circumstance. The skip of the non-delivering team must remain in the hack area until all stones come to rest and move back to accommodate the incoming sweeper and maintain at least two meters of distance.
• Any opposition stone(s) in motion may not be swept under any circumstance. The non-delivering team may not sweep any stones, including their own under any circumstance.
