Curling Alberta Club Championships – Playdowns Reminder
Inglewood is excited to send one men’s team and one women’s team to Curling Alberta’s Club Championship Qualifiers, occurring March 7-10. In order to determine which teams will be going, there will be a playdowns event here at Inglewood on February 22-24.
As per Curling Alberta and Curling Canada guidelines, in order to enter, your team must have three (3) or more players who have played together in a sanctioned club league during the current curling season. For more information on team guidelines and rules for the Curling Alberta Club Championships, please see the appendix from Curling Alberta.
Currently, only two men’s teams and one women’s team are entered into our playdowns event, so I have extended the registration deadline to February 19 at 2:00PM. Please feel free to call or email me to verify your team’s registration was completed successfully.
Inglewood Club Championship
The time has come to get ready for our club championships! This year, each league is invited to enter two teams into our club championships, running from March 20-23. Teams can enter into the division appropriate to them: Men’s, Women’s, Mixed (following proper mixed format), Open, Senior Men’s (age 60+), or Senior Women’s (age 60+). There is no registration fee.
Games will occur in the evenings of March 20-22, as well as during the day on March 23. A complete schedule will be built once teams have entered. Registration deadline: March 15, 4:00PM.
Winning teams are eligible to enter Calgary’s City Championship event, occurring in Cochrane from April 1-4 (evening games). More information on that event will be available soon.
Sturling Bonspiel – March 11
Join us for Inglewood’s first Sturling Bonspiel! On March 11, two-person teams will come together for this event which promises two games and lunch.
