Elections after curling Mar 5th:
As announced a few weeks ago John & I will be stepping down from the executive, elections will be held on March 5 after the game. (note: Ridge has said he would put his name up for nomination for President). Also, Claudia is stepping down from Fund Raiser so we need someone to take over that position as well. The following is a description of the things that we have done over the last few years, but the new executive can change up if they want.
I was the main contact, administrator, and liaison with Bob Genoway for curlers for our league – contact info is put on the Inglewood Website. (at the end of the year a fee is required to maintain our time spot at Inglewood – but is refunded once our new contract is signed in September)
I would get an email in late August or early Sept to say when registration is open and fees applicable. Once I had that I sent an email to all current curlers and spares asking everyone to register as soon as possible to maintain their spot. Start a wait list and followed up – extend search for curlers if some people were not returning, and send reminders that dues have not been paid yet.
Once all registration had been completed John and I would make up the teams and the schedule, and send it out to everyone.
I also, handled all communication with current teams, sending out announcements when required.
As treasure, John would make deposits from our fund raiser events and pay all the bills associated with our league events.
Claudia, would collect canvass curlers each week for our fund raising draw and announce the winners, then give records and money to John for deposit.
I think the other executives will remain as follows:
President: Elaine Beynon – Open for 2025 – 2026 season
Treasure: John Kowalchuk – Open for 2025-2026 season
Social Committee: Sandee Parkin, Angie Patterson, Koni Klein
Website: Brad Roman
Co-Treasure and Hog Pot organizer- Ridge Forster (if Ridge takes over as President then these position should be filled for 2025-2026 season)
Fund Raiser: Claudia Padbury – Open for 2025 – 2026 season
