I want to personally welcome all curlers to the 2025-26 Season. The ice install is almost competed, our first official curling will be on Tuesday, October 14th starting at 9:45am. Most of our leagues are full and ready to go. A big thank you to all the league reps who have been working diligently preparing schedules, organizing teams, etc. etc.

Don’t forget to sign up for our BACK TO THE HACK clinic on Saturday, October 18th.

Our 6th Annual GREY CUP BONSPIEL is set for Nov. 14-16th. This Bonspiel fills fast so get your entry in now.

We have had a number of inquires for PRACTICE ICE… bookings can be made now through our website. Practice ice for now is available during the day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. If day time practice is not possible for you, we do have some practice ice later on some evenings, please contact me directly to arrange a time

Here are a few things to think about before you come to play:

  1. Make sure your equipment is current. Be sure you have a new broom head, new gripper and the appropriate clothing so you can dress in layers.
  2. Consider wearing protective headgear this season… it’s for your own safety
  3. The new gear looks really good, people won’t even know you’re wearing it. We have stylish protective toques and caps available in the Proshop.
  4. If you have a spare be sure they are registered and, if they are not, be sure they sign off the Waiver. Waivers are on the bulletin board located on the way to the ice surface.
  5. Come early… be sure to start your game on time and play a speed that allows you to finish an 8-end game.
  6. Tips: Be in the hack and ready to throw when it’s your turn. If you are a front-ender don’t go to the backboard and visit with your skip during the end. Sweepers from the non-delivering team should be positioned outside the nearest hog line.

A Couple Housekeeping Items:

  1. Please change in the change rooms. We are trying to eliminate changing and leaving boots, etc. outside the Admin. office. If you don’t want to use the change rooms, please leave your winter shoes and coat upstairs above sheet #1.
  2. We are asking curlers to not bring their curling gear into the lounge. There are broom and coat racks available above sheet #1.
  3. We have all your curling supplies available in the Pro Shop. All curling members receive a 15% discount. The Pro Shop will be open next week Tuesday-Friday from 9am-4pm.
