We now know that we will only be 9 teams this year. Please find attached team roster and schedule for the year.
Since we have many new curlers, we request that you come early 7:00 p.m. to meet your new team members.
For the safety of the serving staff and our curling members please remember that curling equipment is not permitted in the lounge area at anytime. Please keep all curling equipment/curling bags in the locker rooms and/or designated curling equipment areas, which are on the lower floor. Once you have taken your equipment to the locker room and put on your curling shoes, please come upstairs the lounge on the left-hand side of the building.
The following will be discussed on the first night: because we are only 9 teams, we have approached the club to see if we can have a fifth sheet prepared so that the bye team can come practice or play a double game. The club has advised to do this we need a firm commitment from the teams that they will be there, if not advance notice is required so that the ice is not prepared.
We have a spare Captain that is responsible for securing spares for all teams, his name is Ridge Forster, you need to let him know when you will be away in advance.
If your team is unable to play when scheduled, then please inform John or Elaine in advance, so that we can notify the other team your game is forfeited and possibly arrange for a fun game with the bye team.
The schedule will be posted on the board downstairs, each week the winning team is responsible for circling their name on the schedule to indicate a win, if you tie, please enter a “T” in your box so we can update the standing. 3 points for Win, 2 Points for T, 1 Point Loss Bye team 0.
Please join us after the game for a beverage and to meet the other teams and curlers.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 26th. Good curling, have fun.
John or Elaine,
President
