When you enter the facility, you must wear a mask. Masks must be worn at all times except
when eating, drinking or curling.

Hello Curling Members, we are almost there…the curling season is just around the corner. We look forward to seeing everyone in the next few weeks. We are almost finished with the ice installation.  Maleah and the ice staff have been working very hard preparing the ice for the start of the curling season.  All leagues will begin the week October 12th, 2021.

It will be curling as usual – 4 curlers, 2 sweepers, a lead and a skip that is always yelling “Hurry Hard!!”

If you have not yet registered and/or paid your curling dues, please note that registration will close on Friday October 8th, 2021 @ 10:00pm. You must register and pay your fees before you start curling. No Exceptions! Payments received after October 8th, 2021 will be charged a 10% late fee.

With Thanksgiving this weekend, practice ice is only available on Sunday, October 10th 2021 between 10:00am – 5:00pm. Practice ice is limited to 1 hour. Please contact me to book your practice ice. curling@inglewoodgolfclub.ca

All practice ice must be pre booked by Friday October 8th, 2021 @ 2:00pm. No drop ins!

Please check the practice ice schedule by the curling rink door for your sheet assignment. If you are unable to make your booking, please let me know at your earliest convenience.

We will be providing you with sanitizing wipes to clean the handles of the rocks, before and after you practice. Please do not make contact with the rock itself, only the handle. Please discard the used wipes in the bins provided.

When you book your practice ice for Sunday, October 10th, 2021 please provide me a copy of your vaccine certificate. This will help speed up the process of getting in your hour of practice ice. Once you have provided this, I will check you off the master list for the curling season. I will not keep a copy of the vaccine certificate.

I will have a weekly practice ice schedule out in the next few days for the curling season…stay tuned. All practice ice must be pre booked.

We also wanted to let you know what to expect the first couple of weeks of curling at Inglewood since we have implemented the Exemption Restriction Program.

All curlers are required to check in before their first game of the season. Please give yourself enough time to check in.

On your first day/night of curling please make your way down to the locker rooms to change / drop off your curling equipment. Remember curling equipment/curling bags are not permitted in the main lounge. Please keep curling equipment in designated areas.

Please make your way back up the Members Lounge where you will be asked to provide your proof of vaccine documents along with a government issued ID / medical exemption document or negative rapid test. This will be a visual confirmation and I will not be taking copies of your documents.

If you are taking a weekly rapid test this will be checked each week.  Once you have checked in you can make your way to the main lounge. If you plan on ordering food/drink the serving staff will likely ask for proof of vaccine/Government ID, medical exemption document or negative rapid test.

Even though we have verified your documents and checked you off the list you are still required to have your documentation with you at all times.

Curling Members – once you have been checked off the Master Registration List, I do not need to see your certificate weekly, but please note that the serving staff are required to ask to see your proof of vaccination/medical exemption/negative rapid test. Once the serving staff get to know you in the next few weeks of curling this may not be a weekly occurrence.

Spares must also provide proof of vaccine/medical exemption/or negative rapid test. If you have a spare curling for your team on any given night, please have them email me their vaccine certificate/medical exemption/negative rapid test. Please be sure that they have registered online and paid their membership fee.

If you have family/friends coming to watch/have dinner/join you later, they are also required to show their documentation.

When you are ready to make your way down to the rink for your game masks are still required until you enter the rink. Once you are in the rink you may remove your mask. You do not need to wear your mask while curling. When you finish your game or you have to leave the rink for any reason, please put your mask on.

Social distancing is still encouraged.

We appreciate your understanding and ask for your patience as we sort through all the requirements to keep our curling doors open.

We look forward to an uninterrupted curling season and we thank you all for supporting Inglewood Golf & Curling Club.
