For all you Curlers I would ask that you reply to me on our before September 10 so we can make some decisions on this upcoming season.
If you plan on playing this year please read this entire email (including below pricing info from Inglewood).
I WOULD TRULY LIKE TO HEAR BACK FROM ALL OF YOU SO I DON’T HAVE TO CHASE ANYONE DOWN, SO PLEASE REPLY.
If you do not plan on playing you can stop reading, but please email me back to let me know if you are wanting to be removed from the list, or want to be a SPARE this year.
Fees are looking to be around $426.70 per player this year (based on 48 players): PRICEY ???
Okay now for those of you who are still reading we need to make some decisions.
- Are you willing to be on any of the executive and if so please let me know what is of interest.
- President ( I will stay if no one else wants to take this on, but happy to have someone else take over this spot as well)
- Treasurer ( We currently have about $400 in the bank)
- Social Committee (2-4 spots)
- Spares Captain
- Hogs (money collector)
- 50/50 Co-ordinator (remind me if we do 50/50 ??)
- For most of you I have your favored positions for playing, but please let me know if those have changed or you need confirmation on what I have you down for.
- Ideally we want to form 12 teams with each player being selected by the executive, HOWEVER, if we are short on players we will allow Mixed Teams to join again this year so that we can have enough players.
- After September 10 the executive will work on putting the teams together and schedule.
Thanks,
Chris Ritter

Subject: Hot Shots League
Morning Chris,
The Inglewood Golf & Curling Club Board of Directors and Curling Committee have approved an increase in the ice fees for this season. Membership and CI fees will remain the same.
During the discussions they also adjusted the fee structure. In years past the leagues were charged based on the number of sheets and weeks required. With the new fee structure the rates are now based on per person, per game for prime time and non prime rental times.
We encourage the league to use all 6 sheets available during their rental.
The new fees are:
Non -Prime – $14.00 per person, per game ( Monday – Friday – 8:00am – 4:00pm)
Prime – $18.00 per person, per game (Monday – Friday – 4:00pm – 11:00pm, Saturday’s & Sunday’s 10:00am – 9:00pm)
Plus gst.
The Hot Shots League is considered a prime time rental.
Therefore, each curler in the Hot Shots League will pay $18.00 per game plus gst.
Each curler is also required to pay their membership fee–$30.00/$45.00 plus gst,
Capital Improvement fee – $25.00 plus gst,
and the new Curling Alberta fee – $13.00 (no gst).
Membership fee is only to be paid one time.
Capital Improvement fee is paid for each league you curl in.
Please note that the Curling Albert fee is paid only one time and the curler will need to indicate which league/club they paid it in at the time of registration.
Below is the cost per person based on 18 games for your league.
Curling fees – 18 games ($18.00 x 18) = $324.00
Membership Fee – $30.00 senior/$45.00 regular/$0 golf
Capital Improvement Fee – $25.00
Curling Alberta Fee – $13.00 (no gst)
Plus gst
Curling dates – October 13, 20, 27 November 3, 10, 17, 24 December 1, 8, 15 January 5, 12, 19, 26 February 2, 9, 16, 23. I will do up the contract and update the cost per person on the website for registration based on the number of games and dates.
This season we have also changed to the Curling I/O online registration software from Curling Canada. All curlers will need to register on line and set up a profile…they will need this when they register for any league(s). Registration will open on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 @ 8:00am – Friday, October 8th, 2021 @ 9:00pm. Payments are encouraged to be by electronic transfer. Payment must accompany registration. Any payments by credit card will be charged a 3% convenience fee.
Payments after Friday October 8th, 2021 will be charged a 10% late fee.
Etransfer – teresa.z@inglewoodgolfclub.ca
The Hot Shots League will start on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021
We look forward to seeing everyone and thank you for your leagues continued support.
